There are many ways to connect as a community and church family here at First Lutheran. As it says in Romans 12, we are one body with many members, each with unique gifts to be used in loving service to each other and the world. Below you can explore what we have to offer--from men's & women's groups, Bible studies, missions, music groups, service groups, and committees. Welcome to our family!
Adult Ministries
Bible Studies
-Tuesday Morning-
Women's Bible Study 7:30-8:30am in the North Classroom. We sing, we pray, we study, have a bite to eat and support each other in our faith journey. Anyone is welcome, including men, and those that belong to other churches.
-Thursday Morning-
8:00 in the North Classroom
This Bible Study is lead by Pr. Tim and highlights the texts for the next Sunday.
-Ruth Circle-
9:30 in the North Classroom
Every third Thursday
Ruth Circle is a women's Bible study based off the "Lutheran Woman Today" magazine.
-Special Studies-
Throughout the year we have special themed Bible studies during Lent and Advent. Stay tuned in the church announcements and newsletters for more information.

W/ELCA
The Women of the ELCA is a church-wide organization the empowers women to engage in ministry and action to promote healing and wholeness in the church, society, and world. Our local WELCA chapter leads the Ruth Circle Bible study, organizes local World Day of Prayer services, and attends various workshops.
Music
Our choir, directed by Kathy Williamson, meets most Sunday's after worship in the choir loft, and performs a couple times a month. We'd love to have you join us! We also have a Handbell group which is currently inactive, but if anyone has interest we can dust off the bells and ring again!
Mission Jamaica
Almost every year we partner with Sunbeam Boys Home in Spanish Town, Jamaica (west of Kingston). Sunbeam, home to about 40 boys, welcomes teams through the year to build relationships, make facility improvements, serve meals, and share in Christ's love.
Men in Mission
The Men in Mission is a group made up of primarily First Lutheran members, though all from the area are welcome to join. They meet the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 for a steak dinner followed by a meeting to discuss and plan many ways to give back to the church and community to. They also run the Scrip Gift Card program which has blessed the church many times over.
