Hi, Dear Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Jody Ganje (Ganje's nephew), Lillian Neeck (Rawson & Michelle Yeske and family), Charlie Kirk, Roger & Gretchen Johnson at the death of his sister, Joanne Zillmer, and Doug & Shari Johnson and family at the death of his mother, Olive Johnson.

CONGRATULATIONS to Rick & Gwen Johannsen on the birth of granddaughter, Maggie!

CONGRATULATIONS also to Great-Grandma, Kris Arneson!

Upcoming Schedule

Important Information

We Thank these volunteers for helping in September: Lector Cheryl Heiden. Communion Bread provided by Julie & Larry Riemenschneider. Ushers Gary Hover and Shawn Barnette, and Service Group Three & Ruth Circle for serving treats.

THE AMERY AREA FOOD SHELF is again asking for help from First Lutheran friends. The need is increasing as funds are decreasing. Hearty soups and cereals would be appreciated. We'll be collecting donations for the next three Sundays (Sept. 28, and Oct. 5.)

OUR ANNUAL MEETING will be held on Sunday, October 12th, immediately following our worship service. Just a reminder to leaders of organizations: Your reports are due in the Church Office by September 29th.

AT OUR ANNUAL MEETING WE HOPE TO CALL PASTOR TOM HAHN AS A PART TIME PASTOR.

TOM DESIRES TO BE ON THE ELCA ROSTER SO THAT WHEN HE LEADS WORSHIP HERE AND AT OTHER CHURCHES IN THE AREA HE IS PERMITTED TO GIVE HOLY COMMUNION.

IF HE IS NOT CALLED TO A CHURCH, HE IS NOT PERMITTED TO SERVE COMMUNION.

WE ARE SO GLAD TO HAVE HIM AS A PART OF OUR CHURCH AND WE ARE GLAD TO SHARE HIM WITH THE COMMUNITY. IT HAS BEEN A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR US!
TOM AND GRETCHEN ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND WE HOPE THAT EVERYONE CAN GET TO KNOW THEM.

TIM AND TOM WORK WELL TOGETHER AND WE ARE BLESSED.
